Two ways of looking at the same story.
Before, davila.uno asked you to choose between Earth and Orbital before showing the site. It worked as an idea, but it added an unnecessary decision too early.
Now it opens directly in Earth, and the switch to Orbital stays available while browsing.
I also added a short message when switching modes, just to give context on what just happened.
Less explanation before entering. More clarity when it’s actually needed.
Added support for attaching screenshots and short videos to log entries — the same lightbox now plays video with native controls in addition to showing images.
Reworked The Idea and Why sections to make them easier to scan and read.
Also added context to the Bitácora dimensions. The labels felt too isolated, so they now explain what each one means and when it should be used.
Interestingly, giving the categories meaning turned out to be as important as creating them.
Projects usually showcase their final form and hide everything that came before. This log exists to preserve the interesting part. As it turns out, the first thing worth documenting was the creation of the log itself.
Your personal site is probably the hardest product to design.
